smeMetrics is set up with predefined email templates that are sent out with your invoices, statements, reminders, dunning and appointment bookings. You can edit and customize these templates so that they reflect you and your practice. In this section we will be covering the mail templates for your invoices. 


The first thing to know is that the templates are split into template groups (invoice, appointments, dunning ect) within each group there are a number of template types that are triggered by actions or settings on your smeMetrics system. 

Invoice Templates :: InvoiceClientTargetRequestInfoPlain


This template type is the email that is sent to the client when you click on the request client information check box when sending invoices on smeMetrics. We recommend that you request the client information at least twice a year as its a good way to ensure that you have the patients latest contact and medical aid information.


You can edit all the text on this template, you just need to leave the place holder %pCustomerContactPerson% as this lets the system know who to address the email to, and if this is removed your emails will not be able to be addressed to the correct person. 

With this template you can ask the client to confirm that their information is correct and allow them to respond with updated information if needed.








Invoice Templates :: InvoiceClientTargetPlain


This is the default email template that is sent out to your cash/ private clients (Clients that do not have submit to medical aid checked). 


You can edit all the text on this template, you just need to leave the place holder %pCustomerContactPerson% as this lets the system know who to address the email to, and if this is removed your emails will not be able to be addressed to the correct person.






Invoice Templates :: InvoiceMedicalTargetRequestInfoPlain

Invoice Templates :: InvoicePaidClientTargetPlain


This is the default email template that is sent out if you mail a paid invoice to your cash/ private clients. 


You can edit all the text on this template, you just need to leave the place holder %pCustomerContactPerson% as this lets the system know who to address the email to, and if this is removed your emails will not be able to be addressed to the correct person.
